Does anyone know of any feminist “relationship advice” type books?
Question by Coriolanus: Does anyone know of any feminist “relationship advice” type books?
Like something that can reaffirm to a girl that she should trust her intuition about a guy she’s with (that he’s probably no good) if he flies off the handle easily and he angrily dismisses and puts down her opinions. Or something like … how much should a woman “put up with” in a relationship, I guess. Or maybe even talks about stereotypes of how women are indeed taught they’re supposed to “put up with” all kinds of crap from their boyfriends that normal people wouldn’t put up with or that is abusive.
I think some such books need to be made more popular and distributed widely to give women the self-esteem they need to leave emotionally abusive relationships.
LOL. Thanks, guys, for the douchebag responses about being “lesbian” just because you don’t want to date an a.ss.hole. Nice try, though. Way to attempt to defend your species of misogynist jerks who go about whining because they imagine they’re such “nice guys” but just can’t figure out why women want nothing to do with them.
P.S. “Glamour” is not even a fraction feminist. Sorry.
And, um, this isn’t for me. It’s for a friend.
